Tomahawk Steak

For: 2-3 persons


Ingredients:

  • 1 large piece of Tomahawk Steak
  • 1 pinch of coarse sea salt

Preparation method:

  1. Let the steak come to room temperature.
  2. Fill the BBQ with large coals and light them.
  3. Heat the BBQ to 160°C using a heat shield and air supply.
  4. Place the steak on the BBQ and cook indirectly until the core temperature reaches 47°C.
  5. Remove the steak from the BBQ and increase the BBQ temperature to 300°C.
  6. Grill the steak on each side for 1 minute. Turn the meat a quarter turn every 30 seconds for nice grill marks.
  7. Let the steak rest for 10 minutes.
  8. Cut the bone off the steak and slice the meat against the grain into neat slices.
  9. Garnish with coarse sea salt.
