French spinach mash

Mashed Spinach with French Sausage
A hearty and flavorful meal, perfect for fishing in France. This stew is seasoned with bacon, carrot, and onion.

Preparation time: 30 minutes
For: 2 persons

Ingredients

  • 4 potatoes
  • 1 white onion
  • 2 carrots
  • 1 French sausage
  • 250 g bacon
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • 250 g spinach
  • 1.5 L water
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt & pepper to taste

Preparation method

  1. Cut the potatoes into large pieces and boil them for 20 minutes in 1.5 L of water.
  2. Meanwhile, cut the carrot, onion, garlic and French sausage into pieces.
  3. When the potatoes still have 8 minutes to cook, fry the vegetables, sausage, and bacon in a pan with olive oil. Cook for 4-5 minutes.
  4. Add the spinach and stir well until it has wilted.
  5. Drain the potatoes and mash them with a fork. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Mix the vegetable and meat mixture through the mashed potatoes.
  7. Mix well and enjoy!
